The Insta360 Luna Ultra just got a major firmware update, improving i-Log shooting, remote touchscreen performance, tracking, stabilization, zoom, battery life, overheating, and overall system stability. In this video, I test the latest Insta360 Luna Ultra firmware update to see what actually improved—and what still needs work.

One of the biggest upgrades is the new i-Log color recovery preview, making it much easier to judge exposure while still recording a flat Log image for color grading. I also test the Luna Ultra’s remote touchscreen transmission and range, wireless audio performance, zoom transitions between cameras, subject tracking, stabilization, overheating, and battery life.

We’ll also look at the improved Luna Ultra remote battery life, POV Head Tracker support when mounted upside down, image quality improvements, and other firmware optimizations.

Finally, I share a few features I’d still like to see added to the Insta360 Luna Ultra, including better exposure tools like zebras, waveform or false color, UVC webcam support, and open gate recording.
